Downtown San Diego Lions ROARing Twenties Centennial Gala

This once-in-a-lifetime celebration will be a true step back in time as we celebrate 100 years and begin a new Century of service to San Diego with music, dancing, fine dining, a silent auction, photo booth, and more in a period-specific setting evoking the era of the 1920s.

All proceeds raised will fund the Downtown San Diego Lions Club’s Student Scholarship Program and the Lions Camp Jack Program. Both programs foster and support at-risk youth in our local San Diego community.

In the top picture are the recipients of 2022’s scholarship awardees. The Downtown San Diego Lions Scholarship Committee awards 10 to 20 scholarships per year. In 2022, each student received $2,000. Students are judged on the following criteria: commitment to serve the community based on the Lions’ motto “We Serve!”; academic achievement; and financial need.

In the bottom picture are the 2022 Camp Jack Campers who attended a free camp for a week in July. This year, the cost of the camp was approximately $625 per youth.
